How to buy Vista, Joy of Tech style
We don't link to Joy of Tech that often, because if we did we'd end up doing it pretty much every day (cue Carly Simon... Noooobody doooes it bettah...). When the readers start giving us the heads-up that Nitrozac and Snaggy have produced something especially trenchant and wry, though, we are bound to take (un)official notice.Click the image or the Read link for the full comic; it manages to portray the Vista buying experience in very stark contrast to shopping for Our Favorite OS.

OK. That was pretty funny.
But if you don't know how to buy Vista, you have to be pretty dim-witted. If it's for a home computer, the word "home" in the name is a dead giveaway.
Home Basic. Home Premium.
And then, of course, the Upgrade versions.
If you buy Business or Enterprise for your home, you hopefully have an explanation other than "I didn't know I should have bought the Home version for my home."
If you're incapapble of doing a little research, may God help you.
Anyways...
Upgrading to Vista is not as hard as Apple and TUAW make it seem. Although, at the moment, it does seem pretty bad of an idea. I can't believe they're already working on a Service Pack.
I just hope Apple will upgrade iTunes and Quicktime to be Vista compatible. After all, there's only 3 days left.
