Yeah, it seems like YAGTDA (Yet Another Getting Things Done App), but Dejumble actually caught my attention. Thinking Code recently created this Leopard-only application as an unobtrusive way to keep track of your to-do list, and the latest released version does the job very well. Dejumble lives in the Menu bar as an extra, so a quick click of the icon brings up a clean, organized window for entering those things that you must get done.The 1.1.1 update includes a pile 'o new features, including:
- Ability to view daily events from iCal
- Hotkey access to the application
- Additional filter and sorting options
- Dejumble window themes (three of 'em, including the black theme in the screenshot)
- URLs in tasks
- Colorize groups
- Redesigned settings window
- Extended free trial period from 5 to 30 days
This may be a "keeper" for me. I like the fact that Dejumble is out of the way and easy to get to, simple to add new tasks to, and that it will soon work with my iPhone. Things is to much in your way and in my opinion.
I liked Dejumble the last time I tried it, but didn't like the color purple it use to have.
I see that it is now black, so i'll give it another go.
But to be honest, even though Anxiety is a To-Do list app and not a GTD app, it's still difficult to beat.

I think Today from Second Gear is nicer because it has much less clutter and allows me to focus better. It also uses the OS X calendar store internally, so it syncs with .Mac. :)

Just let me know when these things have all of the basics implemented. Why does dejumble force you to manually sync the calendars? Today is much nicer in this regard but only lets you edit notes on new items, it doesn't let you edit those previously entered. Finally, why do none of these allow you to edit or add alarms. I'm sticking with the simplicity of anxiety until then.

Interface - Nice, very impressive
Functionality - Disappointing, you have to manually sync with ical, you cannot edit iCal entries with Dejumble, its good for viewing tasks only, pretty useless to me.
Let us know when it has better functionality only then would I consider paying for it.

Make it sync with my other Macs, and my work PC (Windows-based), and I'll pay any price.
I love Evernote, Plaxo, and SugarSync, because all of those programs have web-based access, and are compatible on Mac and Windows and some are have native phone apps.

Actually You can make an RTM desktop app with Fluid/Prism. RTM supports Google Gears, which makes it work offline - without an internet connection too.

Dejumble, Today, Anxiety, Things... none of these apps are localized. When it's about time management, it's important (for me) that the app reflect the user's calendar / system language. On this, only the To Do Widget did the job.
After trying all of them, I appreciate when it's possible to directly edit Tasks on the go without having to manually sync the app with iCal. This said, I had a crush on the simplicity and lightweight of Anxiety.
Before buying one of these "YAGTDA", I'll wait for more language adaptive version.

It seems like more apps are opting to put their icons into the menubar. Personally, I like to keep the menubar clean and uncluttered. If I wanted fast access to any app, I'd drop it in the dock or put its widget inside Dashboard.
I hope developers will make it an opt-in inside the app preference for sticking icons into the menu bar.
