Apple joins the HTML Working Group

The World Wide Web Consortium (aka W3C) is an organization which is devoted to creating and maintaining web standards. A very noble charter indeed.

Some buzz has been building around the future of web standards (HTML, CSS, and what have you) and as you might imagine Apple has a pony in that race (i.e. Safari). Therefore it comes as no great shock that Apple has joined the HTML Working Group. It seems that Apple will also become more involved in other W3C activities, which can only be a good thing.

First we have WebKit in Apollo, lots of sessions about web stuff at WWDC, and now this... dare I say I am noticing a trend? What's next, WebObjects news?

Tip of the Day

When viewing folders using icon view or list view, both Command-Up-arrow and Command-Down-arrow play a special role. Command-Up-arrow moves you up to the parent folder of the currently-displayed folder.
